Zach Anner, who has cerebral palsy, is just one step away from landing his own show on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

The Texas resident became an Internet sensation last summer when his online audition for Winfrey’s “Your OWN Show” competition caught the eye of singer John Mayer and attracted more than 9 million votes from the public.

Anner was subsequently one of 10 contestants selected to compete on a reality show designed to single out the best new television host, where participants were mentored by TV notables like Suze Orman, Dr. Phil and Winfrey herself along the way.

Now Anner is one of two finalists competing for the ultimate prize: winning a show on Winfrey’s cable network.

If he wins, Anner, who describes himself as a person with “the sexiest of the palsies,” wants to produce a travel show “for people who never thought they could travel.”
